Access to lines — damages

Individuals or corporations operating transmission lines shall have reasonable access to the transmission lines for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, enlarging, repairing, or locating the poles, wires, or construction and other devices used in or upon any line, but shall pay to the owner of the lands and of crops all the lands* all damages to the lands or crops caused by entering, using, and occupying the lands for those purposes. This section shall not prevent the execution of an agreement between the person or company owning or operating the lines and the owner of the land or crops regarding the use of the land.
