An interchange of technical information between large and small businesses, independent consultants and Illinois' scientific community is an essential element of the State's policy to protect citizens from the dangers of hazardous wastes and to encourage economic growth.

It is the purpose of this Act to stimulate and support research, to provide training and to facilitate the flow of technical information on source reduction and alternative technologies for hazardous waste between industry and the research community
Known as the Hazardous Waste Technology Exchange Service Act
