Expiration of term; designation of successor

Sec. 4. An appointment to the committee terminates July 1 of the year in which the appointment expires, but a member serves until the member's successor is designated.
Sec. 4. (a) Subject to subsection (b), an appointment to the commission expires in accordance with section 5 of this chapter, but a member serves until the member's successor is designated.
(b) A member of the commission serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority who appointed the member to the commission.
(c) A vacancy on the commission shall be filled by the appropriate appointing authority. An individual appointed to fill a vacancy serves for the unexpired term of the individual's predecessor.
