Sec. 17. Whenever a hearing is provided for or authorized to be held by the state department, the state department may designate a person as the state department's agent or representative to conduct the hearings. The agent or representative shall conduct the hearings in the manner provided by law.
Sec. 17. Whenever a hearing is provided for or authorized to be held by the state department, the state department may request that the office of administrative law proceedings designate a person as the state department's agent or representative to administer the proceeding. The agent or representative selected by the office of administrative law proceedings shall administer the proceeding in the manner provided by law.
