"Competency based learning"

Sec. 6.2. "Competency based learning" refers to systems of instruction, assessment, grading, and academic reporting that are based on individualized learning to allow an individual to demonstrate proficiency of professional development content, regardless of time, place, or pace of learning. The term may include:

"Competency based learning" refers to systems of instruction, assessment, grading, and academic reporting that are based on individualized learning to allow an individual to demonstrate proficiency of professional development content, regardless of time, place, or pace of learning. The term may include:
(1) traditional hours based learning;
(1) traditional hours based learning;
(2) competency based learning opportunities; or
(2) competency based learning activities; or
(3) experiences designed to increase the licensee's professional competence.
