Sec. 22. A person who, with the intent to obtain money, property, or another benefit, knowingly or intentionally:
(1) fraudulently represents himself or herself to be an active member or veteran of:
(A) the United States Air Force;
(B) the United States Army;
(C) the United States Coast Guard;
(D) the United States Marines;
(E) the United States National Guard;
(F) the United States Navy; or
(G) a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States;
(2) uses a falsified military identification; or
(3) fraudulently represents himself or herself to be a recipient of the:
(A) Congressional Medal of Honor;
(B) Distinguished Service Cross;
(C) Navy Cross;
(D) Air Force Cross;
(E) Silver Star;
(F) Purple Heart;
(G) Combat Infantryman Badge;
(H) Combat Action Badge;
(I) Combat Medical Badge;
(J) Combat Action Ribbon; or
(K) Air Force Combat Action Medal;
commits stolen valor, a Class A misdemeanor.
