Sec. 1. Persons honorably discharged from the military or naval service of the United States, by reason of disability resulting from wounds or sickness incurred in the line of duty, shall be preferred for appointment to civil offices, provided they are found to possess the capacity necessary for the proper discharge of such offices.
Sec. 1. Persons discharged from the armed forces of the United States under conditions other than conditions set forth in IC 10-17-12-7.5(2), by reason of disability resulting from wounds or sickness incurred in the line of duty, shall be preferred for appointment to civil offices, provided they are found to possess the capacity necessary for the proper discharge of such offices.
