(b) A person who violates this section: (1) is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not less than $500 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both; and (2) shall forfeit any benefit received and reimburse the State for payments received or paid on the person’s behalf under this subtitle.
