(a) An inmate may not falsely imprison an individual who: (1) is employed by a correctional facility; (2) performs volunteer work for a correctional facility; (3) performs duties in a correctional facility by virtue of federal, State, or local government employment; or (4) performs duties in a correctional facility by virtue of a contract with a local government or the federal or State government.

(b) (1) An inmate who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 30 years.
