Md. Code Ann., Health Occ. § 14-208

Known as the Maryland Medical Practice Act

The act spans §§ 14-101 to 14-702 (94 sections).

(a) The Board may impose an administrative penalty not exceeding $15,000 on a licensee for:

(1) Failure to produce all documents in response to a Board subpoena;

(2) Dispensing a drug without the proper authority from a valid dispensing permit; and

(3) Failure to complete a supplemental application for a license compact.

(b) The Board shall adopt regulations establishing the administrative penalties listed in subsection (a) of this section.

(c) The Board shall pay any penalty collected under this section to the Board of Physicians Fund established under § 14–207 of this subtitle.
