Md. Code Ann., Health Occ. § 14-414

Known as the Maryland Medical Practice Act

The act spans §§ 14–14 (94 sections).

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, an employer may not employ an individual to practice medicine without a license.

(b) A disciplinary panel may impose a civil penalty in an amount not exceeding $10,000 for a violation of this section.

(c) The Board shall remit any penalty collected under this section into the Board of Physicians Fund.
