Md. Code Ann., Health Occ. § 14-5B-18.1

Known as the Maryland Medical Practice Act

The act spans §§ 14-101 to 14-702 (94 sections).

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a licensed physician may not employ or supervise an individual practicing radiation therapy, radiography, nuclear medicine technology, or radiology assistance without a license.

(b) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, an employer may not employ an individual practicing radiation therapy, radiography, nuclear medicine technology, or radiology assistance without a license.

(c) A disciplinary panel may impose a civil penalty of up to $5,000 for employing an individual without a license under this section.

(d) The Board shall remit any penalty collected under this section into the General Fund of the State.
