Md. Code Ann., Health Occ. § 19-407

Known as the Maryland Social Workers Practice Act

The act spans §§ 19-101 to 19-502 (41 sections).

(a) A person who violates any provision of this subtitle or § 19–301 of this title is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both.

(b) A person who violates any provision of this subtitle or § 19–301 of this title is subject to a civil fine not exceeding $50,000 to be assessed by the Board in accordance with regulations adopted by the Board.

(c) Each violation of this subtitle is a separate offense.
