(a) The Commission may not award compensation to a prisoner who is a covered employee under § 9–221 of this title until the prisoner is discharged by pardon, parole, or expiration of sentence.
(a) The Commission may not award compensation to an incarcerated individual who is a covered employee under § 9–221 of this title until the incarcerated individual is discharged by pardon, parole, or expiration of sentence.
(b) If a prisoner dies from an accidental personal injury, the dependents of the prisoner are entitled to compensation under this title, based on the average weekly wage of the prisoner.
(b) If an incarcerated individual dies from an accidental personal injury, the dependents of the incarcerated individual are entitled to compensation under this title, based on the average weekly wage of the incarcerated individual.
