Md. Code Ann., State Gov't § 22-305

Known as the Maryland Public Employee Relations Act

The act spans §§ 22–22 (31 sections).

(a) The Board shall appoint up to three deputy directors.

(b) The deputy directors:

(1) are responsible to and serve at the pleasure of the Board;

(2) must have knowledge of and experience with labor issues;

(3) must be attorneys who:

(i) are licensed by the State at the time of appointment; or

(ii) will become licensed by the State within 12 months after the date of appointment; and

(4) are entitled to the salary provided in the State budget.
