COOPERATIVE NAME.

Subdivision 1. Distinguished name.

The name of a cooperative shall distinguish the cooperative upon the records in the Office of the Secretary of State from the name of a domestic business entity or a foreign business entity, on file, authorized or registered to do business in this state at the time of filing, or a name the right to which is, at the time of organization, reserved or provided for by law.

Subd. 2. Reservation.

The cooperative name shall be reserved for the cooperative during its existence.
