REQUIREMENTS OF MAKERS OF SNOWMOBILES.

Subdivision 1. Identification number.

All snowmobiles made after June 30, 1972, and sold in Minnesota, shall bear the maker's permanent identification number stamped in letters and numbers in the form and at a location prescribed by rule of the commissioner.

Subd. 2. Area for registration number.

All snowmobiles made after June 30, 1972, and sold in Minnesota, shall be designed and made to provide an area on which to affix the registration number. This area shall be at a location and of dimensions prescribed by rule of the commissioner.
