CROSSBOW HUNTING AND FISHING.

Notwithstanding section 97B.035, subdivisions 1 and 2, a person age 60 or over may take deer, bear, turkey, or rough fish by crossbow during the respective regular archery seasons. The transportation requirements of section 97B.051 apply to crossbows during the regular archery deer, bear, turkey, or rough fish season. Crossbows must meet the requirements of section 97B.106, subdivision 2 . A person age 60 or over taking deer, bear, turkey, or rough fish by crossbow under this section must have a valid license to take the respective game.
(a) Notwithstanding section 97B.035, subdivisions 1 and 2, a person may take deer, bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish by crossbow during the respective regular archery seasons. The transportation requirements of section 97B.051 apply to crossbows during the regular archery deer, bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish season. Crossbows must meet the requirements of section 97B.106, subdivision 2 . A person taking deer, bear, turkey, common carp, or native rough fish by crossbow under this section must have a valid license to take the respective game.
(b) This section expires June 30, 2025.
