Discharge of enlisted personnel

(1) Enlisted personnel discharged from service in the North Carolina National Guard shall receive a discharge in writing in the form and with the classification that is or shall be prescribed under regulations promulgated by the appropriate service.

(2) Discharges may be given prior to the expiration of terms of enlistment under regulations prescribed by the Adjutant General, State of North Carolina, or pursuant to regulations promulgated by the secretary of the appropriate service.
