N.C. Gen. Stat. § 157-12

Acquisition of land for government

Known as the Housing Authorities Law

The act spans §§ 157–157 (61 sections).

The authority may acquire by purchase or by the exercise of its power of eminent domain, as aforesaid, any property real or personal for any housing project being constructed or operated by a government. The authority upon such terms and conditions, with or without consideration, as it shall determine, may convey title or deliver possession of such property so acquired or purchased to such government for use in connection with such housing project.
