N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-21-70

Surplus lines licensees may accept business from other agents or brokers

Known as the Surplus Lines Act

(a) A surplus lines licensee may originate surplus lines insurance or accept such insurance from any other duly licensed insurance producer, and the surplus lines licensee may compensate such insurance producer therefor.

(b), (c) Repealed by Session Laws 2015-101 s. 5, effective January 1, 2017.
