(1) The Commissioner may conduct an examination of a licensee as often as the Commissioner considers appropriate.

(4) When making an examination under this Article, the Commissioner may retain attorneys, appraisers, independent actuaries, independent certified public accountants, or other professionals and specialists as examiners, the reasonable cost of which may only be recovered pursuant to G.S. 58-89A-65(d).

Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2013-413, s. 11.1(g), effective October 1, 2013, substituted "may only be recovered pursuant to G.S. 58-89A-65(d)" for "shall be borne by the licensee that is the subject of the examination" in subsection (d).
