§ 90-c. Prohibitions. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to\npurchase, or deal in, or sell cattle, swine, horses, deer, camelids,\nsheep, goats or poultry at wholesale, or for any person to operate or\nconduct an auction where cattle, swine, horses, deer, camelids, sheep,\ngoats or poultry are sold, or for any person to transport poultry,\nunless such wholesale cattle, swine, horse, deer, camelids, sheep, goats\nor poultry dealer or auctioneer or poultry transporter holds a domestic\nanimal health permit granted by the commissioner.\n 2. No person who holds or is required to hold a domestic animal health\npermit shall purchase, sell or otherwise deal in cattle, deer, swine,\ncamelids, sheep or goats unless and until an ear tag is securely affixed\nto the ear of such animal or unless such animal is otherwise identified\nby a registration number, distinctive tattoo, electronic identification\ndevice or other unique permanent mark or, for an animal that is moved\ndirectly to slaughter, an official backtag.\n 3. No person shall deface, obliterate or remove an ear tag or other\nidentification mark affixed to an animal under his or her control, or\nshall affix an ear tag to the ear of an animal that has previously been\naffixed to the ear of another animal.\n
§ 90-c. Prohibitions. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to\npurchase, deal in, sell, or rescue cattle, swine, horses, cervids,\ncamelids, sheep, goats or poultry; to operate or conduct an auction\nwhere cattle, swine, horses, cervids, camelids, sheep, goats or poultry\nare sold; or to transport poultry, unless such dealer, auctioneer,\npoultry transporter, or rescue holds a domestic animal health permit\ngranted by the commissioner.\n 2. No person who holds or is required to hold a domestic animal health\npermit shall purchase, sell, rescue, or otherwise deal in cattle,\ncervids, swine, camelids, sheep or goats unless and until an ear tag is\nsecurely affixed to the ear of such animal, unless such animal is\notherwise identified by a registration number, distinctive tattoo,\nelectronic identification device or some other unique permanent mark or,\nfor an animal that is moved directly to slaughter, an official backtag.\n 3. No person shall deface, obliterate or remove an official ear tag or\nother identification mark affixed to an animal under their control, or\nshall affix an official ear tag to the ear of an animal that has\npreviously been affixed to the ear of another animal.\n
