N.Y. Cannabis Law § 19

§ 19. Public health and education campaign. The office, in\nconsultation with the commissioners of the department of health, office\nof addiction services and supports, and office of mental health, shall\ndevelop and implement a comprehensive public health monitoring,\nsurveillance and education campaign regarding the legalization of\nadult-use cannabis and the impact of cannabis use on public health and\nsafety. The public health and education campaign shall also include\ngeneral education to the public about the cannabis law, including the\npotential risks associated with patronizing unlicensed retail locations,\nor otherwise procuring cannabis product, cannabinoid hemp or hemp\nextract product through persons not authorized by the office.\n
