Senior tourism attractions program

* § 181-g. Senior tourism program. 1. The commissioner, in conjunction\nwith the commissioner of parks, recreation and historic preservation,\nand the director of the office for the aging and in consultation with\napplicable local government officials shall develop and implement a\nsenior tourism program. Such program shall identify senior-friendly\ntourism attractions in each of the state's tourism regions. In\nidentifying specific tourism attractions to be included in the program,\nconsideration shall be given to attractions that can be linked to\nsurrounding artistic, cultural, historical, and entertainment\nattractions or other tourism destinations.\n 2. The senior tourism program shall identify for visitors of senior\nfriendly attractions the surrounding attractions, restaurants, lodging\nand other exhibits or places of entertainment.\n 3. The commissioner shall conduct a public outreach campaign to inform\nthe public of the senior tourism program and the senior friendly\nattractions in such program. Such information shall be publicly\navailable and posted on the websites of the department, the office of\nparks, recreation and historic preservation, and the office for the\naging.\n * NB Effective March 18, 2018\n
§ 181-g. Senior tourism attractions program. 1. The commissioner, in\nconjunction with all relevant departments and agencies, tourism\npromotion agencies, and the director of the office for the aging and in\nconsultation with applicable local government officials, shall develop\nand implement a senior tourism attractions program. Such program shall\ninclude the opportunity to incorporate information for visitors and\nsenior attractions in each of the state's vacation regions. In\nidentifying specific attractions to be included in the program,\nconsideration shall be given to attractions that can be linked to\nsurrounding artistic, cultural, historical, and entertainment\nattractions or other tourism attractions.\n 2. The senior tourism attractions program shall identify for visitors\nof senior friendly attractions the surrounding attractions, restaurants,\nlodging and other exhibits or places of entertainment.\n 3. Information about the senior tourism attractions shall be publicly\navailable and posted on the websites of the department, the office of\nparks, recreation and historic preservation, and the office for the\naging.\n
