Institution officers not to be interested in institution contracts

§ 22. Institution officers not to be interested in institution\ncontracts. A commissioner of correction, superintendent or other\nofficer or employee, employed at any of the institutions in the\ndepartment who:\n 1. Shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract,\npurchase or sale, for, by, or on account of such institution; or,\n 2. Accepts a present from a contractor or contractor's agent, directly\nor indirectly, or employs the labor of an inmate or another person\nemployed in such institution on any work for the private benefit of such\ncommissioner, superintendent, officer or employee, is guilty of a\nmisdemeanor.\n
§ 22. Institution officers not to be interested in institution\ncontracts. A commissioner of correction, superintendent or other officer\nor employee, employed at any of the institutions in the department who:\n 1. Shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract,\npurchase or sale, for, by, or on account of such institution; or,\n 2. Accepts a present from a contractor or contractor's agent, directly\nor indirectly, or employs the labor of an incarcerated individual or\nanother person employed in such institution on any work for the private\nbenefit of such commissioner, superintendent, officer or employee, is\nguilty of a misdemeanor.\n
