N.Y. Correct. Law § 500-g

* § 500-g. Commitment by United States courts. The chief\nadministrative officer shall receive and keep in his jail every person\nduly committed thereto, for any offense against the United States, by\nany court or officer of the United States, until he shall be duly\ndischarged, the United States supporting such person during his\nconfinement; provided such official shall not violate any of the\nprovisions of section five hundred-b of this article in receiving or\ndetaining such persons; and the provisions of this article relative to\nthe mode of confining prisoners shall apply to all persons so committed\nby any court or officer of the United States.\n * NB Effective until September 1, 2027\n * § 500-g. Commitment by United States courts. Such keeper shall\nreceive and keep in his jail every person duly committed thereto, for\nany offense against the United States, by any court or officer of the\nUnited States, until he shall be duly discharged; the United States\nsupporting such person during his confinement; provided such keeper\nshall not violate any of the provisions of section five hundred-c of\nthis article in receiving or detaining such persons; and the provisions\nof this article relative to the mode of confining prisoners and\nconvicts, shall apply to all persons so committed by any court or\nofficer of the United States.\n * NB Effective September 1, 2027\n
