§ 7-126. Ballots; pasters, use of. 1. If a certificate of designation\nor nomination to fill a vacancy shall lawfully be filed with the board\nor officer required to furnish official ballots, or the board of\nelections shall receive from the state board of elections a notification\nof a new designation or nomination to fill a vacancy, after the official\nballots have been printed, and before the election, the board or officer\nproviding the official ballots shall prepare and furnish to the\ninspectors of election in each election district affected, adhesive\npasters containing the name of the new candidate designated or\nnominated, with directions for the proper use thereof.\n 2. Each paster shall be of plain paper of the same color as the\nofficial ballot to which it is being affixed, printed in plain black ink\nand in the same kind of type used in printing the names of the\ncandidates upon the official ballots, and shall be of a size as large as\nand no larger than the space occupied upon the official ballot by the\nname of the candidate in whose place the candidate named upon the paster\nhas been designated or nominated.\n 3. Whenever such pasters are provided, the board or officer furnishing\nthem shall certify to the inspectors of election in the election\ndistricts affected by the vacancy the name of the person originally\ndesignated or nominated, the name of the person designated in the new\ncertificate, the title of the office or party position for which the\ndesignation or nomination is made, the name of the political party to\nwhich the committee making the designation or nomination belongs, and\nshall state the number of pasters furnished, which number shall be equal\nto the number of official ballots furnished for each such district.\n 4. The inspectors or clerks shall affix one of such pasters, in the\nproper place and manner, upon each official ballot before the ballot is\ndelivered to the voter.\n
