* § 580-314. Limited immunity of petitioner. (a) Participation by a\npetitioner in a proceeding before a responding tribunal, whether in\nperson, by private attorney, or through services provided by the support\nenforcement agency, does not confer personal jurisdiction over the\npetitioner in another proceeding.\n (b) A petitioner is not amenable to service of civil process while\nphysically present in this state to participate in a proceeding under\nthis article.\n (c) The immunity granted by this section does not extend to civil\nlitigation based on acts unrelated to a proceeding under this article\ncommitted by a party while present in this state to participate in the\nproceeding.\n * NB Effective until January 1, 2016\n * § 580-314.
