N.Y. Fam. Ct. Act § 580-501

* § 580-501. Employer's receipt of income-withholding order of another\nstate. An income-withholding order issued in another state may be sent\nto the person or entity defined as the obligor's employer or income\npayor under section five thousand two hundred forty-one of the civil\npractice law and rules (for purposes of this part and section 580-605 of\nthis article employer shall also include income payor) without first\nfiling a petition or comparable pleading or registering the order with a\ntribunal of this state.\n * NB Effective until January 1, 2016\n * § 580-501. Employer's receipt of income withholding order of another\nstate. An income withholding order issued in another state may be sent\nby or on behalf of the obligee, or by the support enforcement agency, to\nthe person defined as the obligor's employer or income payor under\nsection five thousand two hundred forty-one of the civil practice law\nand rules or other debtor (for purposes of this part and section 580-605\nof this article, employer shall also include income payor or other\ndebtor) without first filing a petition or comparable pleading or\nregistering the order with a tribunal of this state.\n * NB Effective January 1, 2016\n
