* § 85. Attorney-general to prosecute. Criminal action for violation\nof this article shall be prosecuted by the attorney-general, or his\ndeputy, in the name of the people of the state, and in any such\nprosecution the attorney-general, or his deputy, shall exercise all the\npowers and perform all duties which the district attorney would\notherwise be authorized to exercise or to perform therein. The\nattorney-general shall, upon a conviction for a violation of any\nprovision of this article and within ten days thereafter, make and file\nwith the department of state a detailed report showing the date of such\nconviction, the name of the person convicted and the nature of the\ncharge.\n * NB Effective until August 13, 2016\n * § 85. In any such\nprosecution the attorney general, or his or her deputy, shall exercise\nall the powers and perform all duties which the district attorney would\notherwise be authorized to exercise or to perform therein.
