§ 370. Establishment. 1. The legislative body of a city, village or\ntown, may by ordinance or local law authorize the court having\njurisdiction of traffic cases to establish a traffic violations bureau\nto assist the court in the disposition of infractions in relation to\ntraffic violations.\n 2. There shall be a department of the Nassau county government known\nas the Nassau county traffic and parking violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the county executive.\n 3. There shall be a department of the Suffolk county government known\nas the Suffolk county traffic and parking violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the county executive.\n * 4. There shall be an executive department of the Buffalo city\ngovernment known as the Buffalo traffic violations agency, which shall\noperate under the direction and control of the mayor.\n * NB Effective upon the enactment of a local law by the city of\nBuffalo establishing a traffic violations agency\n
