* § 19.31 Medication assisted treatment training requirement.\n Every person who is a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse\ncounselor pursuant to subdivision (d) of section 19.07 of this article\nor a qualified health care professional who provides treatment or\ncounseling services at a substance use disorder facility, at a school or\npursuant to the Drug Addiction Treatment Act of 2000, shall, within\neighteen months of the effective date of this section or within one year\nof commencing the provision of any such treatment or counseling,\nwhichever shall be later, successfully complete a course of instruction\nrelating to medication assisted treatment approved by the office.\n * NB Effective January 1, 2017\n
§ 19.31 Medication assisted treatment training requirement.\n Every person who is a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse\ncounselor pursuant to subdivision (d) of section 19.07 of this article\nwho provides treatment or counseling services at a substance use\ndisorder facility, shall, within eighteen months of the effective date\nof this section or within one year of commencing the provision of any\nsuch treatment or counseling, whichever shall be later, successfully\ncomplete a course of instruction relating to medication assisted\ntreatment approved by the office.\n
