§ 29.07 Commissioner's powers over admissions to department facilities.\n (a) The commissioner may by order defer admissions to any facility in\nthe department when the total number of patients therein exceeds its\ncapacity to an extent which will not permit adequate care and treatment\nto be provided patients.\n (b) If the commissioner shall determine that overcrowding exists in\nthe department schools, he may, within the amounts appropriated\ntherefor, authorize admission for care and treatment of any person with\na developmental disability to a designated facility approved for such\npurposes by the commissioner. The patient and any liable relatives shall\nbe liable for payment of fees in accordance with article forty-three of\nthis chapter.\n
