Certified recovery residences

§ 32.05-a Certified recovery residences.\n 1. The commissioner shall promulgate regulations consistent with this\nsection for the voluntary certification of certified recovery\nresidences.\n 2. Such regulations shall be evidence-based, utilizing information\nfrom sources with expertise in treatment and recovery. Such regulations\nshall, at a minimum, provide guidance for:\n (a) staffing;\n (b) referrals to and coordination with community and peer based\nsupports including support related to co-occurring disorders;\n (c) resident safety;\n (d) resident rights;\n (e) confidentiality;\n (f) reoccurance support;\n (g) application of tenants rights;\n (h) administrative and operational policies and procedures; and\n (i) housing standards which shall meet or exceed the housing quality\nstandards for safe and habitual housing which are established by local\nhousing codes.\n 3. Once the commissioner has certified a location as a certified\nrecovery residence, such certified recovery residence shall be included\non the office's website as an available option for individuals seeking\nsuch an environment.\n 4. The commissioner shall regulate and ensure that residences which\nare certified to be certified recovery residences are continuing to meet\nthe requirements of this section. The commissioner has the authority to\ninspect such certified recovery residences and impose penalties,\nincluding limiting, revoking or suspending a certification, as\nappropriate, for failure to comply with the provisions of this section.\n
