* § 357. Right of authority to use state property; payment for\nimprovements. On assuming jurisdiction of a thruway highway section or\nconnection or any part thereof, or of a highway connection, or of the\nNew York state canal system, the authority shall have the right to\npossess and use for its corporate purposes so long as its corporate\nexistence shall continue, any real property and rights in real property\ntheretofore acquired by the state, including all improvements thereon\nand state canal lands and properties; provided that the use by the\nauthority of canal lands and properties for highway purposes shall not\ninterfere with the use thereof for canal purposes.\n * NB Effective until January 1, 2017\n * § 357.
