* § 1394-a. Requirement to check sex offender registry. Every person,\nfirm, limited liability company, association and corporation which\noperates a summer day camp shall be required, to ascertain whether an\nemployee or volunteer is listed on the state sex offender registry\npursuant to article six-C of the correction law prior to the day such\nemployee or volunteer commences work at said camp and annually\nthereafter prior to their arrival at said camp.\n * NB Effective until December 27, 2022\n * § 1394-a. Every person,\nfirm, limited liability company, association and corporation which\noperates a summer day camp shall be required, to ascertain whether an\nemployee or volunteer is listed on the state sex offender registry\npursuant to article six-C of the correction law and the national sex\noffender registry using the national crime information center,\nestablished under the Adam Walsh child protection and safety act of 2006\n(42 U.S.C. 16901 et seq.) prior to the day such employee or volunteer\ncommences work at said camp and annually thereafter prior to their\narrival at said camp.\n * NB Effective December 27, 2022\n
