Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the second degree

* § 265.63 Criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the\n second degree.\n A person is guilty of criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver\nin the second degree when, knowing it is an unfinished frame or\nreceiver, such person unlawfully sells, exchanges, gives or disposes of\nan unfinished frame or receiver, provided that for a period of six\nmonths after the effective date of this section, a person shall not be\nguilty of criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the second\ndegree if such person: (a) voluntarily surrenders such unfinished frame\nor receiver to any law enforcement official designated pursuant to\nsubparagraph (f) of paragraph one of subdivision (a) of section 265.20\nof this article; or (b) sells, exchanges, gives, or disposes of such\nunfinished frame or receiver to a gunsmith licensed pursuant to section\n400.00 of this chapter.\n Criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the second degree\nis a class E felony.\n * NB Effective February 25, 2022\n
§ 265.63 Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the second degree.\n A person is guilty of criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the\nsecond degree when, knowing it is an unserialized frame or receiver or\nan unfinished frame or receiver, such person unlawfully sells,\nexchanges, gives or disposes of such unserialized frame or receiver or\nunfinished frame or receiver, provided that for a period of six months\nafter the effective date of this section, a person shall not be guilty\nof criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the second degree if such\nperson: (a) voluntarily surrenders such unserialized frame or receiver\nor unfinished frame or receiver to any law enforcement official\ndesignated pursuant to subparagraph (f) of paragraph one of subdivision\n(a) of section 265.20 of this article; or (b) sells, exchanges, gives,\nor disposes of such unserialized frame or receiver or unfinished frame\nor receiver to a gunsmith licensed pursuant to section 400.00 of this\nchapter.\n Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the second degree is a class E\nfelony.\n
