Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the first degree

* § 265.64 Criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the first\n degree.\n A person is guilty of criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver\nin the first degree when, knowing they are unfinished frames or\nreceivers, such person unlawfully sells, exchanges, gives or disposes of\na total of ten or more unfinished frames or receivers in a period of not\nmore than one year, provided that for a period of six months after the\neffective date of this section, a person shall not be guilty of criminal\nsale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the first degree if such\nperson: (a) voluntarily surrenders such unfinished frames or receivers\nto any law enforcement official designated pursuant to subparagraph (f)\nof paragraph one of subdivision (a) of section 265.20 of this article;\nor (b) sells, exchanges, gives or disposes of such unfinished frames or\nreceivers to a gunsmith licensed pursuant to section 400.00 of this\nchapter.\n Criminal sale of an unfinished frame or receiver in the first degree\nis a class D felony.\n * NB Effective February 25, 2022\n
§ 265.64 Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the first degree.\n A person is guilty of criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the\nfirst degree when, knowing they are unserialized frames or receivers or\nunfinished frames or receivers, such person unlawfully sells, exchanges,\ngives or disposes of a total of ten or more unserialized frames or\nreceivers or unfinished frames or receivers in a period of not more than\none year, provided that for a period of six months after the effective\ndate of this section, a person shall not be guilty of criminal sale of a\nframe or receiver in the first degree if such person: (a) voluntarily\nsurrenders such unserialized frames or receivers or unfinished frames or\nreceivers to any law enforcement official designated pursuant to\nsubparagraph (f) of paragraph one of subdivision (a) of section 265.20\nof this article; or (b) sells, exchanges, gives or disposes of such\nunserialized frames or receivers or unfinished frames or receivers to a\ngunsmith licensed pursuant to section 400.00 of this chapter.\n Criminal sale of a frame or receiver in the first degree is a class D\nfelony.\n
