§ 1112. Fingerprints and criminal history. In order to determine the\nsuitability to be licensed of an applicant or licensee, the racing and\nwagering board shall require a full set of fingerprints be furnished to\nthe board to enable a criminal background investigation to be conducted.\nFor any person who intends to participate in racing in New York state,\nthe board shall submit such fingerprints to the division of criminal\njustice services, and the division of criminal justice services is\nauthorized to submit such fingerprints to the federal bureau of\ninvestigation, in accordance with the rules or regulations promulgated\nby such entities, to obtain relevant criminal history record\ninformation, if any, concerning such applicant or licensee. The board\nshall require the applicant or licensee to pay the cost of the criminal\nhistory investigation.\n
