§ 605. Policing of off-track betting. 1. The corporation shall, at its\nown expense, provide such policing as may be necessary to preserve order\nin branch offices and other facilities and premises of the corporation\nand enforce the provisions of this article and the rules and regulations\npromulgated pursuant thereto.\n 2. Such policing shall be provided through employees of the\ncorporation designated as: (i) special patrol officer by the police\ncommissioner of the city and serving pursuant to the provisions of\nsection 14-106 of the administrative code of the city of New York, or\n(ii) special police officers designated in a manner consistent with\nsection five hundred four of this chapter. When so designated, such\nspecial patrol officers or special police officers shall, in the branch\noffices and the other facilities and premises of the corporation, and in\nthe areas within five hundred feet therefrom:\n a. Be empowered to perform all functions and to enforce all laws,\nrules and regulations mentioned in subdivision one of this section and\n b. Possess all of the powers and discharge all of the duties of\nregular members of the police force of the city.\n
