N.Y. Religious Corporations Law § 28

* § 28. Meetings for the duration of the state disaster emergency\ndeclared by executive order two hundred two that began on March seventh,\ntwo thousand twenty; electronic communication. For the duration of the\nstate disaster emergency declared by executive order two hundred two\nthat began on March seventh, two thousand twenty, or until December\nthirty-first, two thousand twenty-one, whichever is later,\nnotwithstanding any provision of law, certificate of incorporation or\nby-laws to the contrary, if the board of trustees of a religious\ncorporation is authorized to determine the place of trustee meetings or\ncorporate meetings, the board of trustees may, in its sole discretion,\ndetermine that the meeting shall be held solely by means of electronic\ncommunication, the electronic service and/or platform through which the\nmeeting is held shall be the place of the meeting for purposes of this\nchapter.\n * NB Separately amended; cannot be put together\n * § 28. Electronic meetings. Notwithstanding any provision of law,\ncertificate of incorporation or by-laws to the contrary, if the board of\ntrustees of a religious corporation is authorized to determine the place\nof trustee meetings, corporate meetings, congregant or membership\nmeetings, the board of trustees may, in its sole discretion, determine\nthat the meeting shall be held solely by means of electronic\ncommunication, the electronic service and/or platform through which the\nmeeting is held shall be the place of the meeting for purposes of this\nchapter.\n * NB Separately amended; cannot be put together\n
