N.Y. State Fin. Law § 95-e*2

* § 95-e. The New York state autism awareness and research fund. 1.\nThere is hereby established in the joint custody of the commissioner of\ntaxation and finance and the comptroller, a special fund to be known as\nthe New York state autism awareness and research fund.\n 2. Such fund shall consist of all revenues received pursuant to the\nprovisions of section four hundred four-v of the vehicle and traffic\nlaw, as added by chapter three hundred one of the laws of two thousand\nfour, all revenues received pursuant to section six hundred thirty-d of\nthe tax law and all other moneys appropriated, credited, or transferred\nthereto from any other fund or source pursuant to law. Nothing contained\nin this section shall prevent the state from receiving grants, gifts or\nbequests for the purposes of the fund as defined in this section and\ndepositing them into the fund according to law.\n 3. (a) Monies of the fund shall be expended only for autism awareness\nprojects or autism research projects approved by the department of\nhealth in New York state provided, however, that no more than ten\npercent of monies from such fund shall be expended on the aggregate\nnumber of autism research projects approved in a fiscal year.\n (b) As used in this section, the term "autism research project" means\nscientific research approved by the department of health into the causes\nand/or treatment of autism, and the term "autism awareness project"\nmeans a project approved by the department of health aimed toward\neducating the general public about the causes, symptoms, and treatments\nof autism.\n 4. Monies shall be payable from the fund on the audit and warrant of\nthe comptroller on vouchers approved and certified by the commissioner\nof health.\n 5. To the extent practicable, the commissioner of health shall ensure\nthat all monies received during a fiscal year are expended prior to the\nend of that fiscal year.\n * NB There are 2 § 95-e's\n
