* § 97-www. Consumer protection account. 1. There is hereby\nestablished in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the\ncommissioner of taxation and finance an account within the miscellaneous\nspecial revenue fund to be known as the "consumer protection account."\n 2. Such account shall consist of all penalties received by the\ndepartment of state pursuant to section three hundred ninety-nine-z of\nthe general business law and any additional monies appropriated,\ncredited or transferred to such account by the Legislature. Any interest\nearned by the investment of monies in such account shall be added to\nsuch account, become part of such account, and be used for the purposes\nof such account.\n 3. Monies in the account shall be available to the department of state\nfor all costs and expenditures related to consumer protection\nactivities.\n 4. Monies in the account shall be paid out of the account on the audit\nand warrant of the state comptroller on vouchers certified or approved\nby the department of state or any officer or employee designated by the\nsecretary of state.\n * NB There are 5 § 97-www's\n
* § 97-www. New York State Dental Foundation fund. 1. There is hereby\nestablished in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the\ncommissioner of taxation and finance a fund to be known as the " New\nYork State Dental Foundation Fund".\n 2. Such fund shall consist of all moneys collected pursuant to section\nfour hundred four-r of the vehicle and traffic law, and all other moneys\ncredited or transferred thereto from any other fund or source pursuant\nto law, provided that section four hundred four-r of the vehicle and\ntraffic law shall control the method of payment for the costs of\nproducing the distinctive license plates authorized pursuant to such\nsection of law.\n 3. Moneys of the fund shall be expended for the benefit of the dental\neducation and public access programs of the New York State Dental\nFoundation. Moneys shall be paid out of the fund on the audit and\nwarrant of the state comptroller on vouchers approved and certified by\nthe commissioner of health. Any interest received by the comptroller on\nmoneys on deposit in the New York State Dental Foundation fund shall be\nretained in and become part of such fund. No money from such fund may be\nwithdrawn, transferred, or used by any person for any purpose other than\nas permitted in this section.\n * NB There are 4 § 97-www's\n
