§ 7-a. Date of death benefits. All weekly benefits payable under\nsection seven of this article shall accrue as of the date of death of\nthe volunteer fireman. In the event that a person or persons entitled to\nweekly benefits shall die before a determination is made on the merits\nof their claim, and such determination on the merits is ultimately in\ntheir favor, then all weekly benefits due from the date of death of the\nvolunteer fireman up to the date of death of the person or persons\nentitled to such weekly benefits shall be paid to the executor or\nadministrator of the estate of such person or persons.\n

In the event that a person or persons\nentitled to weekly benefits shall die before a determination is made on\nthe merits of their claim, and such determination on the merits is\nultimately in their favor, then all weekly benefits due from the date of\ndeath of the volunteer firefighter up to the date of death of the person\nor persons entitled to such weekly benefits shall be paid to the\nexecutor or administrator of the estate of such person or persons.\n
