§ 17. Aliens. Compensation under this chapter to aliens not residents\nor about to become nonresidents of the United States or Canada, shall be\nthe same in amount as provided for residents, except that dependents in\nany foreign country shall be limited to surviving spouse and child or\nchildren, or, if there is no surviving spouse or child or children, to\nsurviving father or mother whom the employee has supported, either\nwholly or in part, for the period of one year prior to the date of the\naccident.\n
§ 17. Noncitizens. Compensation under this chapter to noncitizens not\nresidents or about to become nonresidents of the United States or\nCanada, shall be the same in amount as provided for residents, except\nthat dependents in any foreign country shall be limited to surviving\nspouse and child or children, or, if there is no surviving spouse or\nchild or children, to surviving father or mother whom the employee has\nsupported, either wholly or in part, for the period of one year prior to\nthe date of the accident.\n
