The state equal opportunity office shall review all private educational institutions licensed or chartered by the state, including professional, business, and vocational training schools. These state-licensed or -chartered institutions shall at the request of the council on elementary and secondary education be required to show compliance with the state policy of nondiscrimination and affirmative action in their student admissions, employment, and other practices as a condition of continued participation in any state program or of eligibility to receive any form of state assistance.
