Contracts for the purchase of personal computers and related devices by public school teachers

(1) The central procurement office may establish contracts for the purchase of personal computers and related devices by public school teachers for use outside the classroom. The computers and related devices shall not be purchased with public funds, but shall be paid for and owned by teachers individually. The contracts shall be established in accordance with this chapter.

(2) The central procurement office shall promulgate rules to regulate the purchases authorized in this section. The rules shall be approved by the procurement commission.
