Remote contractor entitled to payment from prime contractor

As of September 1, 2020
Performance by a subcontractor, materialman or furnisher in accordance with such person's written contract with a contractor for improvement of real property shall entitle such person to payment from the contractor.
Performance by a remote contractor in accordance with a written contract with a prime contractor for improvement of real property entitles the remote contractor to payment from the prime contractor.
