Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-30-304

Rejection of applicants — Notification of rejection

Acts 2012, ch. 800, § 25.

(1) The commissioner may reject the application of any person for admission to an assessment or may strike the name of a person from a list, if the department determines that the applicant: Lacks any of the required qualifications;

(2) Is incapable of performing the essential functions of the position that the applicant is seeking;

(3) Has been convicted of a crime rendering the applicant unsuitable for a particular position;

(4) Has been dismissed for cause from state service;

(5) Has made a false statement of a material fact; or

(6) Committed or attempted to commit a fraud or deception in connection with submitting an application or attempting to secure an appointment to state service.

(7) Any person whose name is removed from a list of eligibles for any reason shall be notified.
